Career Trajectory and Global Expansion
Mid 80's: Southern California. Developing local clientele
Following the close mentoring of her psychically gifted mother, Cheralyn began seeing her own clients, many whom were in the movie and television industry. Over time, her reputation as an intuitive ‘who made sense’ grew her client base to all of California and adjacent states.
Mid 90's: Scottsdale, Arizona. Expanding to Phone Consultations and Geographic Reach

Interview with Pamela Tames
May 6, 2008
Growing up in Los Angeles, what influenced and shaped you?
"I was raised in a family of universal thinkers and was taught to look beyond my race, religion, and life circumstances. Most of my family members are licensed psychologists. There are also artists and famous psychics going back many generations. Thinking deeply about the mind, consciousness and spirit was just what we did. On top of that, it was the Sixties and my parents were actively involved in politics. I remember the 'love-in’s' and protest rallies-that powerful energy of change and possibility. I had a sense that not only could one person make a meaningful difference, it was also why were here."
How did you acquire your intuitive, or psychic, ability?
"It was bred in the bone. My maternal Grandmother did underground readings in her basement in the early 1900’s-it was illegal in those days. The neighborhood women would pile in for the weekly psychic kaffee klatsch. My Mother got it from her, and I got it from my Mother who started mentoring me at the age of four. She would whisper in my ear, 'It’s okay to be different,' knowing that this gift who require me to be strong and independent.
It was not always easy. As I kid, I was on a different path, watching friends get regular jobs, marry, have kids, while I faced facing one adversity after another. Today I see it as part of a plan for me. It taught me how to use my psychic ability to overcome suffering which, in turn, gave me the compassion and capacity to do the same for others. For every problem, I had my own personal experience to draw upon. There is wisdom in all adversity."
Did you always see your psychic ability as a gift?
"As a teen, I called it a curse. It separated me from others. It brought suffering and pain. There is always so much to learn. Today, I see it as a gift that carries an ethical obligation. When, for instance, you see something difficult is going to happen for someone, you must find a way to convey it positively, with compassion and respect. That is the art of the using the gift."
What piece of wisdom guides your life?
"My mother always told me, 'It’s what you learn and who you love that really count in life.' She was self-taught, a profound observer of people and human nature. In a family of academics and intellectuals, I stepped out on my own path of learning inspired by her. It took me places I could have never imagined. I saw life through a unique lens and people from all walks of life were drawn to me. They wanted to see what I could see, to be inspired by a higher vision that included them. I had the ability to communicate that in a way they could truly understand."
When did your psychic work come into full force?
"I did not fully come into my calling until my mid-twenties. I traveled a lot and got clients through word of mouth. One day, I got a premonition to move to Arizona. I left everything behind and moved to the desert where I did not know a soul."
How did your work change in Arizona?
"It took me six years to establish my name and reputation. The turning point came when Ann Albers, a renowned psychic, left her job as an engineer at Honeywell to focus solely on intuitive work. For someone of her professional stature to leave corporate America for that was revolutionary. Almost overnight, it legitimized the work, and paved the way for others to follow."
Did you ever long to be something else?
"That would be like telling a fish there something other than water. It just would not have entered my mind to consider another path. This is my destiny, my work-my karmic lot in life. It is the only thing I have ever had crystal clarity about, which is probably why I focus my working on helping people manifest their calling."
Are you so sure we all have a calling?
"Every one gets a message from God about what they are meant to be doing. It usually comes around the ages of three to six, and it always comes. If you are lucky, you pay attention and just roll with it. Unfortunately, most people block or deny it. Whether you choose to let it in or not is your choice."
Where does intuitive insight come from?
"I liken it to singing ability. Everybody can grab a mike and belt one out on the Karaoke machine but there are only a few Pavarotti’s or Streisand’s. Some people study and study, trying to become the best. But very few people actually get to there. That’s why American Idol is so universally fascinating-we can all relate to the desire to be outstanding."
How are you different from other psychics?
"A lot of people go to psychics for predictions-they want to know when they will meet their soul mate or get their dream job, that kind of thing. I do not do that anymore. I have strong training in ethics, boundaries, and morals, which means I strongly believe in empowering people not making them dependent. I teach people to focus less on outcomes and more on taking responsibility for each step on their journey. I like to think I act as a compass, giving people a way to gauge where they are. Another way to look at it is I teach people how to connect their intention to probability.
I go very deep in my readings, searching for a client’s inner vision. If I can see it and gently bring it to light, then my clients can begin to claim it and give it power in their lives. I put a lot of emphasis on presentation and verbiage to ensure I am communicating in a way that makes sense to a client. There is no judgment or attachment to an outcome. I am the advisor with no agenda, which means I can hold client accountable in ways no one else can."
What is your most satisfying moment as a psychic?
"For years, I had a devoted client with a chain of retail stores. She hired me to do her annual employee parties and people lined up for the readings. Finally, I raised my rates and I was shocked when she then canceled our arrangement. My Mother was visiting when I got this news and I was devastated-after all these years, she no longer saw my value. Soon after, a client from a Texas oil family called. She said she was in crisis and was gassing up her private jet to come see me for a reading. Just to gas a plane is thousands of dollars, so I went from feeling unvalued to feeling highly valued. It was a proud moment to have my Mother, my mentor, witness this and it marked a major shift in my work."
How has your work and clientele changed?
"In the early days, I did a lot of one-on-one work around personal issues. Back then people wanted predictions. I also honed a specialty as a business intuitive, working with real estate developers and brokers, for instance, to help them make decisions that would optimize success.
Recently my clientele shifted and leaders started seeking me out. These are people on the vanguard of social and economic change. People such as celebrities, CEO’s, socialites, and other visionaries who have the intellectual, spiritual, professional or financial means to make our world better. They are fascinated and intrigued by someone who has wisdom that comes from experience as opposed to education. They want to see what I see. I did not plan this-it just happened as I stepped into a leadership role in my own life. You ‘walk the walk and talk the talk’ and suddenly, like-minded people are walking and talking along side with you."
How are you helping leaders?
"I help them to breakthrough to their true depths, to find and claim their power. Often I see leadership potential years before they do. When I reflect it to them, they may be too burnt out by their current situation and refuse to believe me. Eventually, they come around when reality catches up to the vision."
Why is this work so important now?
"Even in the beginning, when people laughed at the idea of a professional psychic, I took this work very seriously. Now, as I find myself sitting at the table with global leaders who look to me for confirmation, I know respect has come. People are hungry for knowledge now. They are looking for ways to cope with the rapidly changing times. I know how the times are changing before they have changed and I can help people let go of what is not working and move into their place of true power in the new world order."
Where is your work taking you personally?
"Since I was a little girl, I believed the one reason to get up in the morning is to make my day and my life count. For me, this means helping others, and right here, in our back yard, there is so much to do. For years now, I have been anonymously connecting people in need-whether it be for food, shelter, clothes, work-with people who can help fulfill those needs."
You have a team of 'silent angels?'
"That is one way to look at it. I go where I can help and I bring like-minded people with me along with me to help. I know I could not have mobilized this effort were it not for the reputation and credibility I have built through my work."
What is the universe telling you now?
"It is telling me that we need not have any fear about letting go of the old ways that do not serve us anymore. It is telling me to honor the past as we let go so that we can make space for the new century with peace, acceptance, and tolerance. The time between now and 2013 will be critical for laying the foundation for the next 50 years."
What is the most important thing you have learned?
"No matter what you know, no matter your education level, the place you are from, your race or religion, how much money you have, you can be whatever you want to be. I am proof of that."
Growing up in Los Angeles, what influenced and shaped you?
